There are many ways to get involved.  It is not necessary to make a special effort.  Just by being more observant when in or around the countryside is one way.  Many sightings are by people who are driving through the countryside or out walking the dog.  More people these days carry a mobile phone that can also take reasonable digital photos or video.  Also you may hear someone say that they saw something or heard something unusual.  Many sightings are of the big black cat that looks a bit like a Labrador dog type.  Some people have heard strange noises like loud growls or shrills.  Others have found very large paw prints. Farmers often find dead sheep and many will have been killed by dogs but not all. So just by simple observation is one way to get involved.  Or you may want to become more proactive and go out searching for clues.  This way is very time consuming but may produce results and at least will get you feedback from people who live and work in the countryside. Going out there and actually searching for the big cats is another matter.  As we have said we believe the best way is to get photographic evidence and the best way to get that is probably by using trail cameras.  So anything you can do to help is the way to get involved.
